SKEPTOID BLOG:Skeptoid's Amazon Wish ListJune 26, 2011 As you may know, Skeptoid's budget hangs by a thread and mostly comes out of my own pocket. The main way for listeners to support the show and keep it going is via the recurring micropayments, which provide a slowly-but-steadily growing source of revenue. But there are always items that are needed, so I decided to make Skeptoid's Amazon wish list available to anyone who wants a more immediate way to help out.
Stuff on the list generally falls into two categories: Production hardware, and day-to-day supplies. Most of the regular supplies go toward making the DVD-ROMs that go out as thank-you gifts to supporters of the show (there's way cool stuff on there, some of which you can't get anywhere else). The production hardware I need is decent grade audio (for Skeptoid) and video (for inFact) stuff, and some general computer supplies like larger & faster drives. Obviously some of this is the more expensive stuff that I'm not likely to find room for in Skeptoid's existing budget anytime soon; so this is a fine option for all of you independently wealthy listeners. Click to check out the list, if for no other reason than curiosity about goes on inside my little skull. Note: If you do get something from the list, please be sure to include your contact information in the notes field, so I'll know who it's from and be able to thank you. :-) @Skeptoid Media, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit |
