All Skeptoid audio podcasts and web transcripts are copyrighted by Skeptoid Media, Inc. All rights are reserved. Reproduction and rebroadcasting, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited without written permission. A licensing agreement is required for all reuse. Contact with your request.

Unauthorized reposting, reuse, or other publication of the podcasts or transcripts on this site is illegal and wrong, so just don't.

Skeptoid is a registered trademark of Skeptoid Media, Inc.

You can:

Use Skeptoid for free, non-profit use in educational institutions worldwide in compliance with fair use doctrine. This means teachers can use Skeptoid audio, video, or printed materials in class, no additional permissions required. (We even make that easy for you with our Teachers Toolkit.)

Play any Skeptoid audio or video program, in its entirety, in any live (non-broadcast), non-recorded public forum.

You cannot:

Reproduce the transcript, audio, or video of an episode, in whole or in large part, on any website or broadcast or in any publication, in violation of copyright law.

Include a Skeptoid episode in any public RSS feed or in any way that causes it to be rebroadcast. This includes re-hosting the audio or video files from your own server, uploading them to YouTube, etc.

Create a derivative work using Skeptoid content.

Re-record or broadcast, in any language, any Skeptoid Media content in violation of copyright law. This includes making unauthorized foreign language versions of Skeptoid audio or video content.

Charge money to watch or hear a Skeptoid audio or video program, unless the charge is for a larger event such as a film festival.

Foreign language translations

You can usually translate Skeptoid written materials into a foreign (non-English) language for web use, so long as complete, proper attribution to the author and to Skeptoid Media, Inc., is given and no representation is made that the content is the intellectual property or product of that web site. You must:

  • Ask for and receive permission
  • Note on the page that it is printed with the express written permission of Skeptoid Media, Inc.
  • Link to the original article on skeptoid.com
  • Properly attribute the author
  • Note on the page that the material is copyright Skeptoid Media, and be sure no conflicting copyright notices are present on your page
  • Advise us of the URL once the page is posted
  • Your use MUST be on a non-commercial, non-ad-supported web site.
  • Permission can be revoked at any time for any reason.
