I Need Your Help to Spread Critical Thinking!
You may not realize it, but there is actually a team of helpers behind the scenes at Skeptoid — people just like yourself who want to help promote critical thinking but didn't know what they could do to help until we met.
Here is my current list of things I need help with. Maybe you are a professional in one of these areas, or know someone who is. If you can help me out in any of these, please email me at brian [at] skeptoid.com and let me know!
- I'm trying to do more public speaking, and have some great presentations prepared. Can anyone hook me up with a speakers bureau or manager who does this kind of thing?
- The Skeptoid books are currently self-published. This is fine, but they lack any marketing or sales behind them. I don't know anybody in the publishing world and don't have the time to sit and write hundreds of fruitless query letters to publishers and agents. Can anyone hook me up with a skeptical literary agent?
- I would love an opportunity to reshoot Here Be Dragons with new better material, or take advantage of some other opportunity with it, in a profitable kind of way. If you're in a position to help make something like this happen, I'd love to hear from you.
- Here Be Dragons needs more foreign language subtitle files. They are easy to make, no experience needed. If you want to help with this, don't contact me directly, instead fill out the contact form to reach the right person. The HBD web site shows which languages are already done.
- I'm very eager to create more salable products to sell through Skeptoid, and would love expert advice from someone who does this successfully. Megachurch guys make millions doing this, and there's no reason we should not at least be able to fund our efforts selling stuff that actually has intellectual value.
- Any ideas to help promote Skeptoid and Here Be Dragons.
